Intro

Hi! My name is Tim. I'm a Cuban salsa instructor with 10+ years of teaching experience. In my teaching I use my own, very efficient technique and program, which I've been improving throughout my career.

So, if you want to learn Cuban salsa fast, but at the same time have a thorough understanding of all the details, and as a result become a successful social dancer - you're in the right place))

Below I'll explain how salsa is good for you and what are my strengths as a teacher.

Why salsa

Salsa dancing is fun and it's also a way to stay fit and healthy. But, what might be even more beneficial, it presents an incredible opportunity to expand your social circle and forge new connections.

The thing is that you don't need a dedicated partner to dance salsa. Once you have learned the basics, you can attend salsa parties, where you normally dance with a dozen partners you choose in just one evening.

This opens up the door to a wealth of new friendships and potential romantic relationships not only in your city, but in almost any city around the world. Ain't that cool?))

And - yeah, salsa scene in Budapest is huge, just check out my weekly Budapest salsa & bachata parties review and you'll see it for yourself.

Why me

Salsa tuition often lacks structure, with teachers just showing dance combinations they know and expecting students to grasp them. This often leads to frustration for students when they face the spontaneity of salsa parties, try dancing with random people, and fail.

This issue is particularly challenging for men, who bear the responsibility of leading and thus require a deeper understanding of the dance compared to followers.

In contrast, my teaching approach is highly systematic and organized. I don't just demonstrate moves; I provide a comprehensive journey from footworks to figures to combos, progressing from basic to elaborate moves and from the most common to more exotic ones.

I emphasize partnerwork principles, highlight common patterns, and make sure you understand both general concepts and nuanced details. As a result, you progress much faster, avoid typical errors, and feel way more confident on the dance floor.

Lesson details

Whom do I teach (and in what language)?

I teach both couples and single students of both genders, although, for men it's more efficient, if you come with a partner. The language can be English or Russian.

When can we have a lesson?

Both weekdays and weekends, afternoons & evenings - I'm quite flexible with regard to timing.

Where do the lessons take place?

Default location is my place in the 6th district, but we can also discuss me coming to your place or renting a room at a dance studio.

What about the price and duration?

The price is 5 000 HUF per hour (it is the same for couples and singles, so it's cheaper to come together). First lesson is free. I normally recommend to have 1-hour lessons for single students and 1,5-hour lessons for couples, but the decision is always up to you.
